In 2023 I was commissioned to document a very special journey. This special project focused on the inspiring story of Leo and his family and the origin of the Spread Your Wings Charity.

Behind the camera, I had the privilege of witnessing the authentic emotions and resilience of Leo's family as they navigated the complexities of Angelman Syndrome. From the initial diagnosis to the challenges of healthcare, every moment was sensitively captured.

Crafting this documentary was a long process over a few months, from extensive filming to hours of editing. Each scene was thoughtfully captured to convey family's unwavering commitment to changing the future for their son and other children. We decided on the longer video, 14 minutes in total, in order to take the audience on a journey and immerse them in the life of the family.

Premiered a fundraising gala in London, it struck a chord with the audience, resulting in a substantial fundraising achievement of over £80,000.

Beyond the financial success, the documentary's impact lies in its ability to evoke empathy and initiate meaningful conversations. As a filmmaker, it's fulfilling to contribute to such important causes and amplify voices that deserve to be heard.
